STEREOTYPES OF WINE
Not every one of us can boast the ability to choose the right wine, and the store is often guided by the “generally accepted rules”: good wine is necessarily expensive, meat is red, woman is sweet. But as it turned out, such dogmas are delusions. Let’s get rid of them.
HIGH PRICE – A SIGN OF GOOD DRINK.
It is not always so. Prices for light young wines can be very affordable, and the quality of the product is excellent. Also do not forget that almost every manufacturer can offer budget options. But in this case, we recommend choosing wines from South Africa, Argentina or Chile.
MONOSORT WINE – THE BEST.
You should not be so categorical. Indeed, there are wine regions that produce exclusively monosortovye wines, and whose products are in demand among connoisseurs and collectors. But this does not mean their unconditional leadership, because good wine is the right balance of tastes. And if the producer managed to combine several grape varieties, emphasizing the advantages of each variety, then this wine deserves to be on your table.
Cork – how the quality mark?
It is believed that the screw stopper is used only by unscrupulous manufacturers, pouring the drink in a nearby garage. This is a mistake. Today, screw caps are widely used by renowned wine producers (for example, elite New Zealand wines).
SEDIMENT CAN BE ONLY AT A LOW SPECIAL WINE.
During the aging of the wine may form a small sediment, giving natural ingredients (grapes, tannin). The precipitate is an indicator of the naturalness of the wine, and that no filtering was applied during the production.
THAN OLDER, BETTER.
Not every wine can be saved for decades. For example, young wines are simply impossible to drink after 3 years of storage, although “fresh” they had a bright taste and aroma. If you want to buy wine for storage, we recommend contacting the consultants for help.
FOR FISH ONLY WHITE WINE, FOR MEAT IS RED.
These are just fictional boundaries that prevent you from experimenting with wine and finding your perfect combinations. There are red wines, perfectly emphasizing the taste of fish, and white varieties suitable for meat. Focus on your taste.
WOMEN AND MEN’S DRINKS
There is no separation of wines suitable only for women or men. This is just your choice. Do not “throw stones” for women who love tart and rich wines, and men who prefer light drinks.
