WHICH WINE MUST BE COOLED BEFORE CONSUMPTION?

WHICH WINE MUST BE COOLED BEFORE CONSUMPTION?
If among all the variety of liquor you prefer to enjoy a glass of good wine, then you probably already wondered about the right serving temperature. And how, armed only with “temperature control”, can you unleash the full potential of the drink?

What wines should be cooled before drinking

The temperature throughout the “life” of wine – a significant component, the point of use – is no exception. By tasting the same drink, but with different temperatures, one can make sure that, for example, it is easy to drink chilled, while at room temperature it would never be included in the category of “loved ones.”

The reason for such changes is a complex chemical composition: various aromatic substances begin to predominate at different temperatures. Taking into account such features of wine, one should remember the basic rule: heat raises a degree (strength), and cold increases acidity.

Red wine best shows its taste at 16 – 18 ° C. Too warm wine (above 20 ° C) may disappoint with the smell of alcohol and tart taste.

Young fruit drinks feel comfortable in the range of 14-15 ° C.

The cheaper the wine, the lower the degree should be: for low-cost white wines – 10-12 ° С, for elite dry wines – 14-16 ° С.

For sparkling wines, 7 degrees are considered ideal, while the eminent champagne Veuve Clicquot or Dom Perignon will require 10-12 ° C.

Not sure how long you need to cool? Better to serve it more cold than warm. In any case, the wine will have a chance to “reach” in the glass.

HOW TO KNOW ABOUT OPTIMAL WINE SUPPLY TEMPERATURE.
Of course, the ideal option would be to purchase a stylish tie-thermometer that is mounted around the bottle, an ordinary thermometer placed in a container with wine can also come to the rescue, but you can also use the “by eye” method. If you leave the drink at room temperature, then after 4 hours its temperature will be about 18 ° C. And if alcohol is left in the refrigerator (in no case in the freezer) for 4 hours, it will be approximately 4 ° C.

And remember that no temperature can correct the defects of the drink, or from good quality to make a good, but favorable temperature conditions can contribute to the disclosure of the real taste of wine, which he gave the manufacturer.
